Operating System

Wave Executor supports only 64-bit versions of Windows. The following builds are actively tested:

  • Windows 11 — all public releases up to and including build 26200 (24H2 and 25H2)
  • Windows 10 — version 22H2, build 19045 and newer

The following are not supported:

  • Windows 8.1 and older
  • Any 32-bit (x86) build of Windows
  • Windows Server editions (may work but not tested)
  • Windows on ARM (Snapdragon, Apple Silicon via Parallels)

Framework Dependencies

Wave Executor requires .NET Framework 4.8 or newer. This is included with Windows 10 (1903+) and Windows 11 by default. If your system is missing it, download it from Microsoft's official site.

No Visual C++ redistributables are required. No separate WebView2 runtime is needed.

Roblox Client

You must have the official Roblox Player installed. Wave Executor does not work with the Microsoft Store version of Roblox, and it does not work with Roblox Studio alone — you need the Player client to attach.

The latest version of Wave (NEW-1.5.5) was tested against Roblox client build 02c37bc51a38. Older Roblox builds may work but are not guaranteed.

Disk and Memory

Wave Executor itself is small — under 50 MB installed. The 200 MB minimum accounts for the installer, temporary extraction files, and log generation. The 4 GB RAM minimum assumes you are also running Roblox, which itself uses 1.5–2.5 GB depending on the experience.

On systems with exactly 4 GB RAM, you may experience stutters when running heavy scripts. 8 GB is strongly recommended for comfortable use.

Antivirus and Security Software

No antivirus is required, but any antivirus you have installed may interfere with installation or attachment. See the Safety Center for our recommended approach — we do not suggest disabling your antivirus, only adding specific exclusions after verifying the SHA-256.

Network

Wave Executor does not require an active internet connection to run scripts. The updater component requires internet access when checking for new versions. No telemetry is sent by the application itself.

What Is Not Required

To avoid confusion, Wave Executor does not require:

  • A dedicated GPU
  • DirectX 12
  • SSD storage (though it improves launch time)
  • A specific Windows theme or display resolution
  • Python, Node.js, or any runtime other than .NET Framework 4.8

Requirements FAQ

Does Wave Executor work on Windows 7 or 8?

No. Only Windows 10 (1909+) and Windows 11 are supported. Older systems are missing required runtime components.

Can I run Wave Executor on a virtual machine?

It can work on a VM with hardware acceleration enabled, but injection may fail without proper GPU passthrough. Not officially supported.

Do I need a dedicated graphics card?

No. Integrated graphics are fine. Wave Executor does not use the GPU directly.

Do I need Python installed?

No. Wave Executor is a native Windows application and does not require Python or any external scripting runtime.

How much RAM does Wave Executor use?

Typically 80–200 MB, depending on how many scripts are loaded and how much output the console produces.

Does it work on the Microsoft Store version of Roblox?

No. Only the official Roblox Player client downloaded from roblox.com is supported.
